Overview:
-persuasion lesson on goals and types
Objectives:
-to give students the access to the fundamental knowledge of persuasion
-to identify and investigate the three different goals of persuasion
-to identify and investigate the different types of persuasive speeches
Rationale:
We feel it is important for our students to be informed. By giving our students the opportunity to explore the different goals of persuasion, it is our hope that they will become more aware of persuasion and its use. By providing our students with the knowledge of the various types of persuasive speeches, we will be preparing them to recognize and analyze persuasion in everyday experiences. It will also help aid in further Team Time discussions of persuasion.

-pre-game warm-up: Refer back to your pre-game warm-up from Day Two of the unit. If you had to label the kind of persuasion you used, what would it be? Switch with a partner. Read and label their persuasive experience? (5 min)
