Social Studies: Students can study the causes and effects of WWII and the circumstances leading up to the rise of Hitler and Nazism. Could a man like Hitler rise to power now? What similarities can you find between the war in Bosnia and WWII? What political, economic, and societal conditions are necessary for a person like Hitler to rise to power?
Math: Students can explore the number of people killed in concentration camps. Ratios and proportions, graphs and charts.
Science: Medical and scientific advances the U.S. gained as a result of the mass defection of scientists, doctors, and mathematicians prior to and during WWII.
Art: Students will learn about the art of related photography. They could draw illustrations and/or copy reproductions of important works and create a timeline. They could also create collages.
Music: Students will study famous musicians of the 40's and compare some of the modern songs which focus on intolerance and hatred.
