Once upon a time there were three bears. There was a mamma bear, a papa bear, and a little bear. They all lived in the forest. One day the bears went out for a walk to visit a sick friend.
While they were gone a little girl, who was directionally challenged, was hiking in the woods. Finding that she had lost her way, she walked till she came to a small cottage. Upon entering the house she saw three bowls sitting on a table. She could not pick up two of the bowls because they were so heavy. The little girl tried the third bowl and filled it with some blackberries and honey she'd found. After eating she went over to the three chairs sitting before a fireplace. She found the first chair to be too tall! The second chair was a little smaller, but still too big! She sat in the third chair because it seemed just right! As she sat in the chair it wobbled, rattled, and it fell apart.
By now the little girl was very tired and so she went into the other room and found three beds. The first was very hard! The second bed was too soft! The third bed was just right! She fell to sleep right away.
Meanwhile the bears came home from their walk. Finding a dirty bowl on the table Mama Bear washed the bowl, thinking nothing of it. At the same time the little bear found his chair in pieces on the floor. He was very upset and started crying.
The little girl hearing the noise came down to find out what was wrong. When she saw the bears she was very surprised! She explained that she was directionally challenged and the bears, being understanding, helped her find her way back to the path.
