The Curricular Internet
The world wide web is composed of files that exist on thousands of computers around the world. You get to those files by using a browser, or helper program such as NetScape or Mosaic. No one set of "yellow pages" exists for you to refer to in order to find a location of files which would be important to your curriculum. In addition, new resources (or files) are being added to computer servers every minute world wide. Understand from the beginning that you just can't keep up!!
If you are interested in educational uses of the world wide web, then you might want to visit some pages written by schools, teachers, and students.
However far behind you may lag, there are at least some people who are ahead and have taken the time to index known resources on the accessible web servers. Here are six indexes.
In addition, programers have developed tools for searching the known files for particular words. You can use these search engines to try to find a location which has valuable resources related to the important word you enter for the search.
Here are some HTML Authoring Resources to help you write your own web pages.
Below are other resources which may have curricular uses.
They are uncategorized at the moment.
If you know of a good resource for K-12 schools, please click here to send me a mail message with the address(es). Thanks!!
