An English Education Portfolio

Please take note of the points of sail diagram to your left. Often times, classroom education attempts a point of view portraying the teacher as the headwind, the main force behind the sails, and the students as the sailboats. Unfortunately, pedagogical experts have kept the boats in their diagram in a uniform direction. As long as this remains true, the teacher only needs to maintain a longwinded flow of air in a constant direction to force the students into the desired port. In this diagram, you'll see that each sailboat faces a different direction. I will argue for the importance of always realizing that each sailboat is ulitmately guided by a unique sailor with different techniques and different goals for being in the sea. Some may not like the water at all.
